Tropical Tagg Lands in Washington

When most people are ready to retire, they head somewhere warm. But this little guy left Hawaii to retire in Washington, ditching the toasty, tropical sun for evergreen trees and cool nights. After boarding a plane and crossing the ocean, Tagg is here waiting to meet his forever family! At 14 years old, this Jack Russell Terrier mix is ready for a life of luxury. He was found abandoned in a house, lonely and scared, so he doesn’t deserve anything but the best for his golden years.

Once you’re around Tagg for a minute or two you’ll see his enthusiasm for life come shining through. He loves to take in everything around him – the green grass, the birds flying by, and the leaves blowing in the breeze. Volunteers have the best time walking Tagg because he’s always up for strutting down the sidewalk, plus he keeps his smile the whole time! Tagg is loving his Northwest life, but he still needs a family to help get him all the way to his happy retirement!

Finding that family may take him a bit of time. Physically he has a few medical issues, but they don’t slow down his joyous spirit! Most are typical senior dog ailments, like arthritis, reduced vision, and hearing loss, but he also has a heart murmur and he had a cancerous mass removed. However, the mass was completely excised, so it should simply be a worry of the past (though any new lumps and bumps would need to be brought to the attention of his veterinarian).

Besides having a relaxing and loving home, what else does Tagg need for a happy life? He’d prefer to be the only dog in his new home so that he can have all his human’s attention for himself.

If you’re ready to fill your life with dog smiles, stubby-tail wags, and an infectious enthusiasm for life, then Tagg may be the perfect fit for you. Not only will Tagg add an immense amount of joy to your life, but you’ll be giving it right back to him. And what is a better feeling than that? Happy retirement!
