Lost a pet?

Start looking for your pet as soon as possible. Homeward Pet is unable to accept lost or stray animals, so it is unlikely that we have your pet in our care. However, you can contact our shelter to file a lost pet report. In the event that we are contacted about a found pet matching your pets report, then we can contact you directly.

You should also file lost pet reports with all shelters and rescues in your area. See our handout on Other Shelters and Rescue Organizations for a list of shelters in our area.

Found a pet?

Thank you for helping a lost animal find their way home! For tips on how to reunite a lost pet with their family, please see our handout on Found Pets and Stray Animals.

If you have been unable to locate the pet’s owner, you may need to take them to a shelter. Before you take this lost pet to a shelter, determine where you found the pet, then locate the correct shelter that the pet should go to – this will give the pet the best chance to be reunited with their family. See our handout on Animal Control Services to determine which shelter is contracted to accept lost and stray pets from the area where this pet was found.
