Find out more about our clinic recovery kennels

The health and well-being of Homeward Pet’s animals is always top priority for our shelter, but when working with the homeless animal population, disease and infection can occur. Our current kennels in the clinic pose challenges to Homeward Pet’s standards of sanitation. Due to the make and model of our current kennels, textured plastic and crevasses serve as havens for bacteria and viruses, even after thorough cleaning by our trained volunteers. The kennels are also limited in space which has proved challenging in maintaining an efficient surgery schedule.

The new stainless steel recovery clinic kennels will provide a much safer and cleaner space for the animals while they receive medical aid. The updated kennels will also hold twice the amount of cats and dogs allowing us to care for additional animals. This essential enhancement to the shelter will save even more lives.
