In Kind Donations – How Can You Help?
Please see the attached list for all the items we currently need and use at the shelter. Many are available at Costco and local retailers.
You can also donate new items by choosing from our Amazon or Chewy Wish Lists and having them shipped directly to us.
We also accept items for dogs and cats in like-new, or gently-used condition.
Below are the basic items that we can use in the care of animals at the shelter and in foster homes, distribute to rescue partners, or make available to adopters to help them care for their newly adopted pet.
Unfortunately, we’re not able to accept items that are not usable in the shelter and cost us money to dispose of.
ITEMS ACCEPTED
- Pet food (canned and dry)
- New or opened bags
- Cat litter
- All types and brands
- New or like-new Pet beds
- All sizes
- New or like-new crates and carriers. We cannot accept crates with any amount of rust.
- Plastic, wire, and soft-sided. All sizes.
- New or like-new Cat scratching posts, cat trees, and cat condos.
- Pet dishes, bowls and puzzle feeders.
- Dog and cat toys.
- Collars, leashes and Wonder Walker harnesses.
- Wash cloths. At this time we have an excess of towels and hand towels and cannot accept those.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED
- Anything worn, rusty, chewed, broken, or missing parts.
- Pillows, cushions, comforters, large blankets, or sheets. Consider donating to a local human shelter.
- Used litter boxes and litter scoops.
- Covered litter boxes, new or used.
- Pet drinking fountains and pet feeder/water sets.
- Frozen pet food.
- Outdoor dog houses and dog runs.
